Welcome to our newsletter! Each month we will be providing you with content that we hope will enrich your ownership experience and keep you up to date with the industry. Our first major announcement is that we will be moving shops this summer!
We attended the APR Dealer conference last weekend and we could not be more excited about the performance offerings that are just around the corner! We will see the Ultracharger released for all 3.0t models, MK7 GTI Exhaust systems and APR Wheels!
As always you will find our shelves full stocked and ready for your performance needs. It was a great opportunity for us to communicate directly with the guys on the front line at APR from the calibrators and engineers to the software developers. We are consistently blown away by the quality of the people and their passion for making these cars faster. APR is dedicated to building the highest quality parts and we are dedicated to providing those to you with the best service possible. Make sure you get on our pre-order list for the Ultracharger set to release any day now!
We would like to let our customers know about a new system we are rolling out that will allow you to help us.
We would like to offer a
on your next service in exchange for you to sport our new Blair Automotive license plate frames.
These frames are stylish and will allow other potential customers to hear about us so we can offer them the same great service that we offer to you. We want to get the word out that there is another choice other than the dealership where we can save people money and heartache. Be sure to ask for your discount and get your plate frames installed on your next visit.
Today I want to talk to you about the dreaded check engine light. When your vehicle detects an issue with an emissions based system it will illuminate your check engine light.
So, what does this really mean? Unfortunately, the reasons for the light to appear are nearly endless but they fall around 3 main categories of systems. Your fueling system and fuel tank, your exhaust emissions control systems and your engine air fuel ration efficiencies.
Here is what you really need to know though. If the check engine light comes on, do not panic! Most of these systems are designed to operate your vehicle safely even during a failure of that component or system.
Give us a call and we can get you in very quickly to determine the cause of the light and then go from there. If the light comes on and starts blinking, then this is a sign that your engine is suffering from misfires. In this case, you do need to stop driving or limit your driving severely and give us a call so we can get the vehicle repaired. Driving the vehicle with the check engine light blinking will cause damage to expensive system components like your exhaust catalyst but even more importantly it could overheat your exhaust system and cause a fire. Simply drive to a safe stopping place and let us take care of you.
Sean Custis has one of the nicest V8 S5’s in the country. With a mod list so extensive we could never list it all he has tastefully turned his S5 in to a work of art. Carbon fiber accents, custom interior trim and all of the suspension and engine modifications on the market! This rare beauty just also happens to be for sale. If you are interested let us know and we can get you in to contact with the owner.
