Welcome to our newsletter! Each month we will be providing you with content that we hope will enrich your ownership experience and keep you up to date with the industry. Our first major announcement is that we will be moving shops this summer!
Our new facility is nearly 5 times the size and we will be adding many features including, wheel and tire machines, in ground alignment rack and a dyno! The facility is located in Carrollton off of Old Denton Road and 35! As we get closer we will keep you in the loop on the progress and our grand opening event. As we prepare for the move we are still striving to improve our service and we would like to let you know about some exciting new developments for the year.
We have partnered with BG Products to provide a full line of preventative maintenance for your Engine, Power Steering, Cooling, Brakes and transmission systems.
What is super cool about the products other than helping increase the lifespan of the components is that using them also gives you a limited extended warranty on the components involved in that system! We believe in these products so much and will be recommending them to all of our clients moving forward.
The next exciting news is that we have expanded our loaner fleet with two brand new VW Golf's with Apple Play and backup cameras. It has never been easier to set an appointment and make sure you ask for a loaner if you need one!
We have also hired on another Master Guild Audi Technician, Joe, to help with our increased growth and to get your cars in and out much more efficiently. Joe is our resident performance GURU with over 9 years of Audi experience specializing in R8's, Engine, Suspension and Diagnosis. Joe competed with me in the National Audi tech challenge and has ranked in the top 40 techs in the nation several years in a row.
WE ARE PROUD TO CONTINUE EXPANDING AND PROVIDING YOU WITH THE BEST POSSIBLE SERVICE.
IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS DO NOT HESITATE TO CALL OR EMAIL AND SET YOUR APPOINTMENTS TODAY!
This month we want to talk to you about Coolant. Your engine uses coolant to maintain an optimal temperature in the engine. This is a vital function and there are a few things you should know. If your coolant light comes on do not panic. This usually indicates that you are a little low and just need a top off until you can swing by the shop for us to inspect your vehicle.
The coolant reservoir will be white with a blue cap. You can top off the coolant with just water if needed. If you want to top it off with the proper coolant then make sure it is G12 coolant and a pink color. If it does not look pink then do not put it in your vehicle! Sometimes the issue may be more serious and typically the vehicle will tell you to pull over immediately.
This is to protect your engine in case you are running so low on coolant that you cannot maintain proper temperatures. There is a coolant temperature gauge on your dash that should be reading dead middle of the gauge once warmed up. If your warning comes on make sure you glance at your gauge often to make sure your temperatures are staying right in the middle. If the temperature moves past the middle then pull over immediately and give us a call.
The most important thing to remember is not to drive the vehicle if the temperatures are too high. This will almost always result in catastrophic engine failure. To make sure you have the proper coolant in your vehicle make sure you ask about a BG Coolant system flush on your next visit.
